NEW YORK – March 11, 2010 – Studio One Networks is on the short list for one of the four top awards of the Festival of Media, “Media Owner of the Year,” for the second consecutive year. The winner will be announced during the Festival of Media Awards Gala Dinner in Valencia, Spain, on April 20.
Other finalists are media behemoths FOX, Yahoo!, Microsoft, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and MTV Networks International.
Andrew Susman, founder and CEO of Studio One Networks, said, “It’s a true compliment for our company, and its employees, to once again be in the finals of the competition. Last year, the biblical story of David and Goliath almost repeated itself when we got the runner-up. This year, we hope to do one better. To win the coveted award would be a high honor, to be sure.”
Bernhard Glock, chairman of the Festival of Media Awards 2010 Jury, said, “Congratulations to everyone who has been short-listed. Many cases are good examples of improved creativity, innovation and media professionalism worldwide. Some were just fantastic cases, scoring 5 out of 5 throughout — the final jury will have some hard choices to make.”
The Festival of Media Awards is organized by C Squared Holdings Ltd., in association with Advertising Age.
